Good, Messy Fun!

Another short week is in the works and what a fun one it is shaping up to be! Last night five of my fellow summer interns joined me at Sips and Strokes, a phenomenal little evening activity here in Birmingham. Over 60 people convened in an art studio to sip the beverage of their choice (Lauren and I had Chick-Fil-A milkshakes, which are the bomb dot com, and the sugar high that resulted came with some pretty inaccurate rumors) and paint a beautiful picture on a canvass. Each picture turns out differently of course, but it was quite shocking how each one was quite lovely despite some people being completely inexperienced in the art of painting. Lauren and I showed just how unprofessional we could be by painting handlebar mustaches on each other’s faces and occasionally breaking out into fits of giggles. Lauren was quite disappointed that the women behind us (who were quite amused at our antics) jumped to the conclusion that we had been doing more sipping than stroking, which was indeed not the case (unless you count the milkshakes we had, in fact, chugged before the painting ever even started). We all had so much fun that we are planning another trip next week! Now can we get one of these places in Gainesville?
